Common Orthodontic Treatment

Crowding of the teeth
Teeth crowding occurs when there isn’t enough space in the jaw, causing the teeth to overlap or misalign. It can lead to teeth cleaning difficulties, cavities and bite issues.

Teeth Spacing
Gaps between teeth, known as diastemas, most often appear between the upper and lower teeth. Various orthodontic treatments are available to close these spaces, enhancing the smile’s appearance and confidence.

Open Bite
Open Bite is a type of malocclusion where the upper and lower teeth do not make contact when the jaws are closed. This gap can occur in the front or the back of the mouth. Can result from habits such as thumb sucking or tongue thrusting or due to skeletal discrepancies between the jaws.

Underbite
Also known as a reverse bite, is a type of malocclusion where the lower teeth extend beyond the upper teeth when the jaws are closed.

Overjet
Overjet is a condition where the top incisors are ahead of the bottom incisors, or vice versa. There are many reasons a patient may develop an overjet such as teeth crowding, thumb sucking, or congenital condition where the top jaw is ahead of the bottom jaw.
